Precious Time

How about a lovely last day of Sneak Peeks from Flourishes?  Today we've got a set that can be used for any special timely occasion and can also be very manly in design too.   I have two cards to show you, one very masculine and also one more elegant and traditional.

Here is the masculine card.  I did a lot of sponging on this one to give it a nice old world feel.  First I stamped the larger clock image and the numbers images and the damask image in a random manner over the background using numerous Ranger Distress Ink colors.  Then I ran the background through an embossing folder and sponged the texture of the embossing again with Ranger ink.  It gives it all a warm collage feel. The ribbon is a very lovely Natural Linen Ruffle

Then on the main image I added color with my Copic Markers, giving the sand some pointillism for the grainy texture look.

I added the sentiment on to a very lovely Fancy Tags Two from Spellbinders adding a light sponging of vanilla ink to set off the design.

Now for some more elegance with this set, I went more royal.

I thought about how pretty this set would look with embossing powder as well as dry embossing, so I did a little emboss resist with the larger clock face embossing it in white, and then sponging some lovely Navy ink on the clock.  I've used the Parisian Accents Dies and Parisian Motifs Die on the design behind the clock as well, it really keeps classic feel.

As you can see I also inked up the Navy cardstock layer with VersaMark ink and the damask type image and used clear embossing powder.

I think the navy corner swirl of pearls really makes the design sing!
