It's Flourishes New Release Challenge! Time for the June releases is next week and we want to invite you in on a challenge...
As we get ready to honor the Independence of the good ole U.S.A and Canada Day in Canada, let's see your patroitism shine! Use red, white and blue if you hail from the United States. If you live in other parts of the world, turn to your nation's flag for inspiration!
And since we're a dualie family (with both US and Canadian citizenships) we can celebrate which ever country we want! (wink!) I decided to make a sweet little patriotic pennant for the US and then I'll make a Canadian one too when I have a few minutes!
I used the very classy Patriotism on Parade set from Flourishes and my Grand Calibur and Pennent Dies (Nested Pennants and Lacey Pennants) to create this pennant. One turn through the machine and all the pennant parts are ready to go!
I colored up the flag swags with Copic Markers (listed below) and then added glitter pen to the stars which you might be able to see better in the 2nd photo. I ruffed the ribbon on the top of the pennant over Scor Tape and tied bows in the corners through the Nested Pennant and then added some satin ribbon to hang the pennant, attaching in the back.
You might be able to see some of the shimmer in the slightly different lighting below.
Head over to the Design Team to see their Star Spangled creations...
Stamps: Flourishes - Patriotism on Parade; Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Buckaroo Blue; Paper: Buckaroo Blue, Cherry Cobbler, Flourishes Classic White; Accessories: Grand Calibur Die Cutting Machine, Spellbinders Nested Pennants, Spellbinders Lacey Pennants, Sheer Dotted Ribbon, Copic Markers (Flourishes Blue Jean Collection, R27, R39, R59, C1, C2, Glitter Pen, Dimensionals, Scor Tape
