Vellum is such a great paper material...and yet I don't reach for it as much as I should! So today it was fun to add some softness with Vellum.
I used vellum in three different spots on this card. First I stamped the hydrangeas from the pretty Garden of Friends stamp set onto cardstock vellum using Stazon ink and trimmed those flowers out, and then I sponged them like crazy with Almost Amethyst ink, leaving them to dry. Once the card was complete I added white gel pen on the flower centers which I think really makes them pop. And attached them with a little glue dot in the center of the flower.
Then I cut two borders using cardstock and vellum with the Martha Stewart Hydrangea border punch, and then stamped the sentiment on vellum as well. Below you can also see I stamped the hydrangea onto the Amethyst cardstock behind the vellum hydrangeas - in white Craft ink.
To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a card that utilizes vellum, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (Apr. 18th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!
By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the look out to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)
