Oh Baby! It's Animal Crackers

Day Three of Baby Week and I have a fun bold design with a CAS style.  I keep thinking, ok you may be making 50 - 100 of these how complicated do you want them?  But if you know me CAS isn't something I find easy!

I found this cute paper from Imaginisce called Colorfall and thought it might make a good color palette for a bolder boy design.  Then I paired it with Verve's To the Moon set, using the giraffe, monkey and bear with color ink on colored paper, then color ink on white paper - embossed, and finally in black Memento ink on the monkey and colored with Copics as the focal image.  Isn't he cute with his big belly?

Just a little ribbon tabs for accent and two stamped stars (but if I were doing this in multiples I'd have a star punch for sure).

Yeah, so outside of the fun of making this card, I didn't have the best day today....Here's the equation....Me in our Van + Very Hard Snowbank + Very Cold Temperatures (even at slow speed) = one really broken front fender + an expensive repair.  :(   Gratefully I have a very understanding and loving husband, and no one was hurt.

Hope you have a much better day today!  Stay warm and out of snowbanks :)

Stamps:  Verve - To the Moon, SU - Nursery Necessities;  Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Bermuda Bay, Poppy Parade, Wild Wasabi;  Paper:  Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, Poppy Parade, Wild Wasabi, Imaginisce - Colorfall;  Accessories:  Big Shot, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Dotted Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals, Copic Markers, 1 3/8 inch Circle punch, 1 3/4 Circle punch.

  1. Darling card. Love the tabs and the stars you used.

Sorry to hear the snowbank wasn't playing nice :( I can't believe how much snow you've been having...actually I can as I know how much RAIN we've been having before it heads over the Rockies! Glad to hear nobody was hurt.

  9. Are you having baby fever yet? I know I would be!! Even with my youngest being 16 years old, I still ache to hold a newborn. I remember when they were little and would sleep on my chest. That was the most wonderful time. I could smell their baby sweetness and feel their little heart beats. So far, I'm loving the first one you did...but they are all amazing. Why not just make several of a few designs? Want me to come help?! I would!!!

    Hugs, my friend!
