Last month when Flourishes Re-Released the gorgeous Rejoice image, many people started asking if we'd also be releasing the Angel from the original and retired set as well. Well, today I'm happy to tell you that the beautiful angel has returned as a re-release this month, with a slightly smaller size to the angel that I think is great for card-making as well as lovely sentiments with the set. I have two very different beauties to show you today....first crisp and elegant....
Isn't she beautiful? It's such a regal, classy stamp set. I've embossed her with Ranger Gold embossing powder on Flourishes Classic White paper, on a Beaded Ovals Nestability. The beautiful paper is gold mirrored paper, new to the store. I've used an Impressabilities template to create the letterpress de-bossing on the gold paper, and also used a piece from the Fleur De Lis Spellbinders set to create the shapes under and over the swag.
This whole card was heavily influenced by the beautiful work of Yvonne Hagane on this card here. She's one of our Flourishes Bring Back Beautiful Challenge girls and I think she's amazing. Not only can she color like a dream, but her sense of design and layout, structure and embellishing is phenomenal. Be sure to check her work out! I swoon every time!
And here's a final look at the swag. I will have to put this in a larger envelope now because I've *crowned* the top of the card, but it just seemed like it suited the design.
And now...something warm and vintage....
I just made this card tonight and I love how it turned out! When I received my new Webster's Pages Waiting for Santa and Sweet Season I just about melted...there are so many stunning pages and patterns in there...this one really caught my eye and I thought how beautiful it would be paper piecing the angel's dress. Doesn't she look lovely? I've added some W2 to the depths of her dress to give it some definition, and her skin, hair and wings are colored with Copics. I've added vintage Crochet Lace Trim, Cream Velvet Ric Rack, some gorgeous Zva Pearls and the Labels 16 cut out twice and laid off-center from each other in Cherry Cobbler to sit behind the main image. The layering really gives it a more elegant look I think.
These Flourishes Girls would love to Angelically inspire you today... and here is the link to this beautiful SET IN THE STORE! Yes you can purchase it already!)
