I'm embarrassingly late in sending my nephew's present for his Birthday. Time just REALLY got away from me. So, now it's his sister's birthday on Monday....and I'm going to be late in mailing her present too, but not so embarrassingly late as for our nephew....they'll get them together. I feel like such a bad Auntie!
So I had a Nephew card to make....and also a friend of our 7 year old son has his BD party tomorrow so I needed one for him too.
1st for the Nephew...who really LOVES green...
Both of these cards today are with the TSG set Puppy Love, which is so darling. I used the TSG Challenge sketch this week and tried to mimic the dog collar in the upper strips with the brads. Kinda fun!
Because I used such dark browns for the spots I gave him a cute eye patch by adding a little blender pen oval on the dark.
The woof woof woof and the dog prints on the sentiment circle is translated inside....
I tried to mimic a little of the hearty fun font with my copic multi-liner...but I still went uphill a little. I'm no good unless I draw a line first!
Now to the friend Birthday party ....
I kept this one really simple, because let's be honest a 7 year old won't pay much attention.
I know the photo isn't quite *lit* enough, I just took it in natural light without my OTT lights. I colored the pair again with copics. This Basic Grey paper is perfect for the card with all the cute pups on it. too. I didn't do any fancy piercing or ribbon - just some very fun mosaic tiles as accents in black and red. The sentiment if you can't read it from my angle (sorry!) says "Friends from the Start" and these boys have been friends since Kindergarten. :)
Ok dokey... see ya later! Sunday at church we give our Missions Team Report to the congregation from our trip with the HS'ers to Mexico City, I'm so excited to recount the trip to them!
Recipe: Woof Woof Woof: Stamps: TSG - Puppy Love; Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Garden Green; Paper: Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Flourishes Classic White, SU - Green Christmas paper (last year I think, can't remember the name!), and some Basic Grey....boy I'm not very helpful on my dps!; Accessories: Big Shot, Oval Nesties, Labels Two Nesties, 1 3/4 Circle Punch, Herringbone CB Folder, Antique Brads, Copic Markers, Dimensionals, Copic Multi-liner .005
Friends from the Start: Stamps: TSG - Puppy Love; Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Poppy Parade; Paper: Whisper White, Poppy Parade, Basic Grey - Max and Whiskers; Accessories: Big Shot, Long Deckled Nesties, Oval Punch, Copic Markers, Dimensionals, Mosaic Tiles
Two darling cards. Heck, if they are late, it just makes them be able to celebrate their birthdays longer :) Don't ask how I know this LOL! Enjoy sharing about your trip - loved reading the blog about it and trust it has forever changed the lives of many HSers who went :)
ReplyDeleteReally cute and fun cards, for both boys and dog lovers alike!
ReplyDeleteAck! More cute cards with this set! I have been on the edge about this set, after seeing your cards yesterday and today, I went ahead and ordered it.
ReplyDeleteRefreshing cards. I love them both. I have a hard time using this shade of green, but now, after seeing your card, I think it is possible to make a cute card. You are so creative, thanks for sharing.
