I'm delighted to share with you another month of Flourishes New Release Sneak Peeks! It's always a fantastic time of the month, and it's been so fun to play with these new sets. This sweet set reminds me of all the summer delight of being a kid. Those lazy moments in the sun, playing with friends, and enjoying! I remember just laying on the grass and enjoying watching the clouds roll by! There's so many great elements to this set, and great sentiments too!
So, for our son's 7th Birthday I created this card for him. Boyish, masculine yet with a little whimsy.
Here's a few more photos from different angles.
I was able to keep the masculine/boyish/childlike feel by limiting my embellishments to more of a masculine feel with the twine and buttons and brads. I've added lots of sponging on the DP (7 Gypsies)
to warm it up too. Below you can see a little of the coloring, you can see I've added some light shadows under the fishing line and under the bridge and against the water, it's subtle but gives it some depth.
Now here are some important details for this week!
