Some Laura Ingalls Spring

As a little girl I remember being fascinated with Laura Ingalls and Little House on the Prairie....I read the books, and I watched the TVshow faithfully (and I had the biggest crush on Almanzo too!).  Now my kids love the book series too.  There's something so fun reading about the *old* days.

I just couldn't put down my new SU set from yesterday, and to me it had a really Laura Ingalls feel to it, especially after I colored it and paired it with this Cosmo Cricket Early Bird paper (I've really gotten good use out of this pad of paper!).  This is Mercy's Sketch this week too.

This little girl looks just like another of my nieces, so it will be for her, and I know she loves Little House on the Prairie too.  She is colored with Copic markers, and then I antiqued the main image and some of the paper with Ranger Distress Ink - Tea Stain for a better match to the DP.

See my multiple types of stitch sewing?  Sort of an accident actually, but I like it!  It goes from straight stitch, to large zig zag to small zig zag to straight stitch again.

And that's it for today!  I'll be back Friday with something Flourishes!

Recipe:  Stamps - SU A Kind Word;  Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Real Red, Ranger Distress Ink - Tea Stain;  Paper:  Blue Bayou, Confetti Cream, Cosmo Cricket Early Bird DSP, Gina K Pure Luxury;  Accessories:  Big Shot, Oval Deckled Nestabilities, Kaiser 1/2 Pearls, Flourishes Sheer Dotted Ribbon in Red, Flourishes Cream Crochet Ribbon, Glue Dots, Nestabilities, Copic Markers, Sewing Machine, Pinked Heart Border Punch, Sponge

  11. Ah yes, Little House on the Prairie was a staple in our house too. Just loved that show, but I'm afraid "Pa" stole the show for me LOL! My daughter has read and reread the entire series and watched the DVDs at least twice already. Must say I have enjoyed watching a few of them with her. Oh that they would make shows like than now!! Your card is totally adorable and fabulously coloured.
