Did I mention that I received a bunch of new stamps? {insert giddy smile} I was just beside myself to get them. I've been looking at Stampavie Stamps for a while now and their whimsical style just finally got to me. So here's a first attempt with a really cute one, this mice couple in a leaf boat. I think it's just darling.
I hadn't used my Prismacolor pencils for a while and I really wanted to create a softer feel for this image, so pencils are always a great choice. I know the picture is a little bit soft too, but if I contrast it anymore in the editing program, the coloring really loses its true feel.
I have to say that Flourishes really has fantastic paper for both Copics and for Prismacolor pencils, it's a dual kind of paper that colors up so beautifully. I colored the pair with colors that are actually really rare for me. These are more cool jewel tones, and I'm more of a warm color girl, but I love how it came out in these colors! Who knew?!
And the Eskimo Kisses paper is fantastic for them I think too. I used last weeks SCS Sketch flipped.
So sweet! Thanks for stopping by!
