Love You

A quick note right up front, I'll be drawing a new name for the Blog Candy later today (after we go looking for school supplies). Our first winner didn't contact me...sorry for her :( ....another chance for you! :) Entries are closed, I'll just draw a new number.
A really neat color challenge today at SCS, Blush Blossom, Close to Cocoa, Certainly Celery, White and optional Cameo Coral. I had trouble at first figuring out what to do, but this is what I came up with. I tried to take a softer picture so you could see the embossing.
I went soft and delicate on this one, and clean and simple. I actually really love Blush Blossom as a color. The perfect peachy softness, so I colored these squares with my Stampin Write Markers, a little like I'd do with copics, starting with the lighter color adding deeper color accents (like Cameo) and then coming back over it with Blush. The only thing you have to pay attention to is not to use too much ink, or the paper will break down (I was only using SU Whisper White). You won't get complete blending like Copics, but it does work if you're careful.

The 3 main squares are on different levels, (sorry for the slightly fuzzy photo, it didn't want to focus on what I wanted it to!) and the butterflies are attached with glue dots. A little Texturz embossing on the Blush layer and some simple accents. Soft and subtle!

Recipe: Stamps: Dreams du Jour; Ink: Basic Brown, Blush Blossom, Close to Cocoa; Paper: Whisper White, Blush Blossom, Close to Cocoa; Accessories: Big Shot, Texturz Plate, Top Note, Poly Twill Ribbon, Dimensionals, SW Markers, Glue Dots.
