Waterlily

It's a Flourishes Friday! And this week it's our Pre-Release challenge for you with brand new sets coming next week! Our theme this month is "By The Sea". Doesn't that evoke some lovely summer thoughts? So what's your part in this challenge? So....I was playing with my Copic markers again....and created this waterlily scene...not exactly the SEA, but it is water, and the cool colors and clean and simple design are great for a relaxed summer feel.

Here's a bit of a closer look at the lily in the water. I used straight lines with my markers for the water and swirly circles for the sky area.

I used the Violet Collection, and the Sky Collection of Copics from Flourishes...with a little bit of Fields mixed in. This great K & C paper really matched well. I went really clean and simple and didn't add a lot of layers, and just gathered silk ribbon and some of our pretty Finishing Touches Beautiful Brads in copper (isn't it cook how they join together?).
