What Took Me So Long!? ATC's


I have adamantly resisted the ATC craze. Too small a canvas I thought. I know I won't like it I thought.

Well, believe it or not :) I was wrong! (I know - it really does happen - a lot!)
Today's Way's to Use It Challenge was just to make an ATC. Sweet and simple. 2.5 x 3.5 inches. So, I broke down this afternoon and tried it out. It was fun! And you know what...it's a great stepping tool to a card. It came together really easy!

So, maybe I'm converted!

Here's the ATC


A little bit of watercoloring, sponging, some simple ribbon and the new Parisian Breeze Specialty paper (textured and very heavy...almost like a cardstock).


And here's the card...

I added more specialty designer paper with a bit more scalloping and ribbon and brads. I'm so happy with how it came out!

So...all you ATC nay-sayers...like I was...I dare you, try one!

Recipe: Stamps: Botanical Blooms (SAB); Ink: Black Stazon, Baja Breeze, Sahara Sand; Paper: Baja Breeze, Sahara Sand, Parisian Breeze Specialty Paper, Watercolor; Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, Chocolate Taffeta Ribbon, Vintage Brads, Oval Punch, Dimensionals, Sponge, Aqua Painters, Reinkers.

    Confession time....I too have never made an ATC. Shhhhhhh....I know...sinful, eh?

    Wow! This is breath-taking, Christine! It's funny, I haven't had a chance to participate in an SCS challenge lately, and today I was gonna do it. Then I saw what it was, and decided not to. LOL You certainly made it work VERY well to your advantage! Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous, girl!!! :)

    This is the prettiest ATC I've ever seen...JUST GORGEOUS, girl!! I love that Parisian Breeze paper...it's THE best. Paired with YOUR watercoloring, wit-whew!!

    I love making ATC's, but they're harder than they look. Your's is freakin' gorrrrrjus. I love the card, so much so, that I used it for inspiration and made one. Your color is fabulous.
