Well, since my 1st sample was uploaded last night for the color challenge, this is the 2nd one :)
My challenge to myself right now is to see how many Christmas cards I can make one at a time....another challenge is to see how you can make any card a Christmas card !
I actually had the inspiration to make this card way back in summer. We were in the mountains at our friends home and I was getting a cup out of the cupboard and saw this pretty china cup with flowers trailing on it. I said hmmm...I could create that with a stamp!
So here is a unique combination of 2 Flourishes stamps, Coffee with Friends and Lilac. I stamped the cup from Coffee with Friends and the stamped the smaller magnolia over the cup as if it were part of the design. I watercolored with Reinkers and the added Lumiere over the white parts of the cup to create the feeling of it being a porcelain or china cup. Then added a lighter wash over the flowers. It's so pretty IRL!
By using the Christmas papers from SU's Holiday Treasures, and pretty accents - you give the card a very Christmas feel.
Thanks for dropping by today!
