Hawaiian Shirt

Hey gang!  I'm so excited to say that I'm ready to get on a plane for my FIRST time at CHA in Chicago!  Woo Hoo!  I've heard so much about the Craft and Hobby Association, and this time I'm joining some of my lovely Flourishes gals to DO the show!   Please say Hi if you're around us, I'd love to meet you in person!

This week, while I'm away I still have lots planned for you.  I'm your TSG girl of the week on the There She Goes Blog so I have some cute projects to show you.  It all starts today with a pretty color challenge I have for you.  I had these pretty ribbons stored in my ribbon holder and I looked at the line of them one day and thought, "hmm, this looks like it might be a nice combo!"

I pulled out the beautiful Hibiscus set illustrated by Torico and created a tropical arrangement a little like a Hawaiian shirt design...and really focussing on the ribbon that was my inspiration.

I've woven the ribbons back and forth in a basketweave style and then placed the Copic colored flowers on top.  I laid this all on a very pretty Rectangle Lattice Nestabilities shape on top of some more woven ribbon.

Then as I was looking through my stash of embellishments I found the perfect brads to add to the design with that soft yellow and blue and the brown background.  Then I added some pretty rhinestone swirls to finish it off.

To be eligible for the giveaway, you are to create a card that uses the colors provided, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (July 25). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

By participating in this challenge, you may also find yourself in the Trendsetting Spotlight that shines on the TSG Blog every Thursday. We will be on the look out to find challenge cards that stand out and show Trendsetting qualities. TSG stamps are not required to participate in the challenges but are appreciated :)

You do not need to have a blog to be able to participate in the TSG Challenges! You can simply add the URL link from your project after it has been uploaded to your online craft gallery. If you upload your card to an online craft gallery, please use the keyword TSG116 so we can check out your beautiful work!

So please join us!  We'd love to see your work with these colors!
