Poinsettia and Pine

Welcome to Day Two of our September Releases at Flourishes!  Oh, I just love the smell of pine.  That is one Christmas smell I could have around me all the time.  I even have some kitchen - lotion/soap called Winter Forest in pine fragrance from Williams-Sonoma in the US that I use year round.

Today's set pairs the beauty of pine with the the Christmas elegance of poinsettias.  A gorgeous duo in these stamps illustrated by Marcella Hawley.  Amanda has challenged us to be inspired by something on Pinterest for our creation today.  Here's my card and then I'll show you the Pinterest photo I pinned.

I love looking at Pinterest.  I've found so many fun ideas there - but I do limit my time on it!

For the card, I stamped the Bible Verse and some of the smaller elements from the set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto designer paper, giving it this beautiful framed effect.  Then I stamped a second holly/berry/pine combination onto Flourishes Classic Ivory Cardstock, coloured it up with Copic Markers popping it up on the design.  I also added some lined framing around the verse and between the holly and berries with a Copic Multi-liner, with black rhinestones at the corners.

Isn't the script on the verse gorgeous?  The last touches to make it shine are the gorgeous ribbons, Satin Pleat Edging and some beautiful crushed velvet.  I love the simple elegance to the design.

Here are the Copic Collections I used for the design:
