Country Road

We're back for Day 2 of Flourishes New Releases!  Today's set  - Country Road is a gorgeous one from Lauren Pope that evokes a peaceful easy feeling, and is reminiscent of some lovely rustic rural scenes.

I love how this scene looks and right away it made me think of a sunrise or sunset, and the rich colors in the sky.  My Alberta skies are rich like this, and so are the North Dakota skies my husband grew up in.  I pulled out a selection of my Letraset Aqua Markers building and blending stripes of colors to give the feeling of the setting sun.  It works perfectly with a silhouette image that is heat embossed.  

I used an older 123 Kit that Flourishes sold last fall from Bo Bunny because the colors were perfect for the scene.  The embossing is created with Spellbinders MBossabilities folder.  

I inked up part of the sentiment with a marker for the front of the card, I thought it looked just right for the scene.
