Happy New Year!
Did any of you watch the Tournament of Roses Parade today? Our boys watched a little of it, I'm always so fascinated by what they can do with flowers and creativity.
I was looking at the Teleflora website last week for some meanings of the colors of roses and came upon this fabulous arrangement of flowers, it's called Enchanted Roses. I looked at the gorgeous and almost unusual color combination (especially with that vivid green), and wondered if I could recreate it somehow.

So today, in-between laundry loads I worked on this today, trying to recreate as much of the sense of color and bouquet as I could.

Lots of masking on this one. But I loved how I could combine different sets, I Love Roses and Spring Ephemerals to get the feeling of the Roses and the deeper rose colored spray filler flowers. Cool hey? I used markers on the smaller Ephemeral flowers, and watercolor on the roses. With such a vivid and detailed image, I hate to over-embellish so I kept the extras very simple. Sorry, it's a little dark even with my OTT light.

Recipe: Stamps: Flourishes - I Love Roses, Spring Ephemerals; Ink: Black Stazon; Paper: Watercolor, Rose Red, Kiwi Kiss, So Saffron, So Saffron Prints, Rose Red Prints, Cardstock Vellum; Accessories: Reinkers, SW Markers, Pomegranate Satin Ribbon, Rich Regal Brads, Piercer, Dimensionals
