A Green Raincoat

Hello Friends!  Happy (belated) Canada Day to all of my fellow Canadians.  151 young years for my beloved nation!

We’ve had the most lovely warm spring and early summer.  We’ve enjoyed all the sunshine very much, but this next week is forecast to be a bit cooler with rain, which actually would be good for all the plants.  It’s put me in the mood for this charming set from MFT called Rain or Shine.  I love this sweet little girl ready to splash in the puddles.  It was really fun to give my human rainbow colouring some practise with Copics.  I thought a bright green raincoat would really be cheerful to pair with her since it’s one of my favourite colours.   It’s all assembled onto some Soft Sky paper and patterned paper in soft blue-greens.  I think it allows that bright green to pop.

I added that little duckling doing a bit of a dance with her, the sentiment from the set onto some bright green and a bit of washi tape underneath as accent.  Adorable isn’t it?

Here are the Copics I used:  Skin & Hair:  E11, E13, E15, E17, E25, E27, E29, R21  Duck, Boots, Umbrella:  Y13, Y15, Y17  Raincoat:  YG11, YG07, YG09, YG17 Leggings:  BG46, BG49, BV00  Puddle: BG11, BG45

Happy Monday, and go splash in some puddles if you have them - or make your own!!

Hi Christine. Hope your enjoying our long weekend. I so wish I had your weather this weekend, here in SW Ontario it is reaching about 110F, it is now 102 with the humidex. Temperatures will remain like this for the entire week. Your card brings some cooler feeling to the air. Beautifully coloured, love the layout and papers are perfect. TFS!

Oh my, Christine! She is absolutely adorable, and I love how you've colored her (and her little duck) and the wonderful layout! Sweetness! Congratulations on celebrating Canada's 151st birthday! We are excited about celebrating our nation's birth as well on July 4. It's a day I love -- fireworks are such fun! Thanks for sharing this beautiful card! I love her! Hugs!

It's one of my favorite colors, too, and I think your darling little girl looks wonderful in it. Love, love the paper you've used with her. Also, cute layout! This blue and green combo is the prettiest thing!
