Beach Selfie

Back for day two of our Beachy Vacation in cards this week.  Today I’ve pulled out the very summery Best Day Ever stamp set for a fun and vibrant summery design.  I wanted to create the feeling of waves and sand as the background of the image, so I used pointillism.  I love how it gives you the feeling of the grains of sand and the foamy waves rolling in.

A few designer paper pennants and enamel dots (to echo the pointillism) finish it off.

Are you as ready for the beach as I am?  Now to only get rid of the 2 feet of snow in my yard!

Ahhh, yes, I was thinking of this image. Love what you've done with it. The suggestion of water and sand is beautiful. All over feel good card, Christine. Now I'm wondering if you have any more beachy cards up your sleeve. Fun!

Oh, you've definitely created a beach feel, and I love the pointillism that truly does give a sense of sand and waves coming in. Beautifully colored and a perfect layout!! Love it! Hugs! xoxo
