Feeling Fall

Here’s Day 3 of the Nature + Nurture Collection at Power Poppy, and we’re bringing you the very sweet seasonal set Feeling Fall.  It has three autumnul vignettes to get you in the mood for crunching leaves, warm beverages and cooler rainy weather.

As soon as I saw this adorable plaid wellington boot I knew I had to colour it up first.

I was so taken by that sweet plaid theme, I decided to make some plaid background paper with my Copics to match the boot.  All I did was swipe the chisel tip of my Copic marker over a section of XPress It Blending cardstock in vertical and horizontal planes, and then added a bit of a Copic multi-liner to give the plaid some definition.  It makes a great background to tie the pattern in.

Here’s a closer view of the colouring.  I found a few cute maple leaf buttons in my stash, cut off the back and added them as accent.

Here’s the inside of the design with another touch of plaid and some die cut maple leaves.

Here’s the Copics I used

I know you’ll enjoy a trip to see what the Bloom Brigade has in store....

We also encourage young and the adults from the west to come to mumbai to work with us during their vacation time. We would love to have your grown up children to come with their vriends to work with us during their vacation time. I am sure they will have a life changing experience. Many young people from the States, Europe and Australia have come to work with us in the past. God willing I will be coming to Calgary,Alberta to visit our son and his wife in the month of October. My son works for Mustered Seed and his name is Stawan. While I spend a week with him and his wife I will be so glad to visit you and your family and share with you more about our ministry as well as Missions trip program. I love this bright, crisp look for your wellies stamp. What FANTASTIC plaid dp, I'd never have guessed that you created it yourself, it looks better than anything you could buy and what an inspiration!!! WONDERFUL colored image!!!

The stitching die-cuts really add to the whole, crisp flavor. Another great card, I'm such a big fan!!!

I came across the card that I won on your blog not long ago, and it was such a thrill to receive that card from someone I admire...thank you again.

BEAUTIFUL card, one that really touched me!

Hugs,

Joanne

And I love the little maple leaves - you would certainly have those!)

Well, for heaven's sake! I never would have guessed you made the plaid yourself, but now that you mention it, it certainly does match the boot exactly. How CUTE! You're brilliant and that's why I love to visit you, Christine! Wonderful coloring of the image and so cute with the maple leaf buttons. I've already ordered the three sets. Couldn't resist. You all rocked this release!
