Owl You Need

It’s Day 2 at The Cat’s Pajamas Sneaky Peek Week!  Today we’ve got the cutest little lovey-dovey set!  It’s called Owl You Need is Love.  Take a peek!

Aren’t they the sweetest pair nestled together?  I stamped the image in Memento Gray Flannel to soften the lines and then added some of those warm grays in the colouring with Copics.  I used flicking strokes on the owls to give them the look of feathers.  After I trimmed the image out wiht a wee border, I placed in on a circle of felt.  It almost has a minty tone to it.  I like how it cozy’s it up a bit.  Then it’s all paired together with this Basic Grey True Love paper, woodgrain embossing on the white layer of card stock, and then some glitter strips going each direction.

There’s some really sweet little sentiments in this set and this is one of them, embossed in white onto vellum.  I added a heart from our new Nested Hearts CutAble Die coming out this week and some rhinestones.

Here’s the Copics I used to give these little sweeties some life.

Here’s the adorable set in person :)

Fabulous card, Christine. Your coloring is amazing. Love that you used grey for the image, it softens the lines, but not too much. (I am so going to try this.) Great attention to details too with the wood grain, felt, glitter strips and vellum.

What a sweet and charming card, Christine! I love how you colored the little hearts atop the owls heads the same shade of pink that's in that lovely pattern on your paper. It brings it together along with the green leaves and it's all so very pretty! Your cards are always so delightful and inspiring! :)
