Snowglobe Greetings

Did you see the adorable snowglobe digital image that Marcy released on Saturday for Power Poppy?  It’s called Snowglobe Greetings and it’s so great!  Marcy totally captured the old fashioned snowglobe feeling in the illustration.

I sized the image quite large, about 3 1/2 x 5 inches so that I could make it into an easel fold design that would sit up.  Lots of colouring involved, which was really fun, especially doing the beautiful wood base with all of that pretty holly and berries.

I added a swirly embossing texture in the background behind the snowglobe, and also gave one of the presents some polka-dots.

Here’s the wood base that I added lots of deep rich woodgrain feel to in the colouring, and then the sweet little poinsettia on the oval die that helps hold up the easel (TCP Poinsettia CutUps).  On the bottom of the design you can see I added lace to accent the card base.

I did add lots of sparkle to the design with a glitter pen, but you almost have to take the photo with really reflected light to show it....so hopefully this picture helps.

Here is the pretty design and the sentiment that is included in the file.  The great news is that all of the Christmas sets in the store, digis included are 10% off!  Just put HOLIDAY10 as the discount code in your order.

Oh, Christine, you've really made a beautiful easel card with this adorable snowglobe! And you've colored it so beautifully, especially that gorgeous base! Wow, it's stunning the way you've colored it up like a really vintage globe from Europe. Sweet photo showing the sparkle! Love it, sweet friend! Hugs!
