Happy Crabapples

Hello Sweet People!  It’s a busy week here on the blog as today we’re beginning brand new Sneak Peeks at Power Poppy of our August polymer stamp set release, the Color Me Grateful Collection!   Today begins our very lovely Happy Crabapple!  Though, there’s nothing crabby here...it’s all loveliness!

I did some soft colouring and cutting of these intricate blossoms and fruit to create this multi-layered card that throws a little mixed-media fun in.

I really wanted to showcase the lovely sentiment and surround it with the blossoms, so I added some pointillism to create that delicate feeling around it as well.

I used embossing paste and a Tim Holtz stencil to create that gorgeous raised background on the white layer.  Finished off with some satin finished cotton ribbon and enamel dots and pearls, it’s got that soft country elegance.

Here’s the Copics I used.

And here’s the Bloom Brigade with gorgeousness in store...

Oh, Christine, this is so soft and gorgeous! Wow, I love these colors and love the pointillism around this beautiful sentiment! It really does highlight it with your beautifully colored and fussy-cut blossoms! It's love!! And the DP you've used really is a perfect color palette for your card...along with the embossing for texture. And it's perfectly finished off with that luscious bow...oh, I love this card! Can't wait to see more! Hugs!

This is so pretty!! I LOVE the way you used the texture paste to make patterned paper. I also LOVE the pointillism in the window to draw your eye to the quote.

Pretty color on those blooms! I love how you and Ally both used plaid for a bit of country elegance. Fabulous design. You are always so good with the pointillism, too.

Oh how beautifully you have colored those blooms and crab apples, Christine. Your colors are always so delightfully vibrant....they just pull you in! Pair that with your awesome layout and your background (which I thought was dry embossed until I read your post...I have SO gotta try that!!) and you have another truly gorgeous Christine creation. I always love seeing your coloring! :)
