A Little ‘Splainin’ To Do!

"Lucy...you got some ‘splainin’ to do!”  (I Love Lucy)

How would you like a little giveaway?

Here’s my ‘splainin’.  I’ve been feeling especially bad because, for the past 6 weeks I’ve been very disengaged from you lovely readers.  Man, it’s been all I can do to get any cards made for my deadlines and I’ve not had any spare minutes to appreciate your comments and come and visit you on your blogs :( .  I’ve been working full time in a new role at our Church and will continue for the next several months filling in for a co-workers Sabbatical.  Doing that and juggling a family has left little space for anything extra....so I apologize for my lack of connection.

I do appreciate you (so much) sweet readers and just wanted to you know that...so today I’m having a little giveaway of this brand new edition of CardMaker Magazine’s Summer 2015 Issue.  I have a card in there on page 70 as you can see in the second picture.

It’s with some very fun The Cat’s Pajamas Products and it was really fun to make.  As you can see in the pictures it’s a slider card for the graduate.

So, all you need to do to enter is leave me a comment and I’ll send you a copy of the magazine....AND the original card as well.  Tell me what’s making you smile these days :)

Big hugs friends!  Thanks for your patience with me.  I’ll draw a name on Monday and let you know who won.

How exciting to be published in Cardmaker! Love their magazines. I smile at your adorable (pjc) and/or beautiful (pp) cards as well as other favorite works by people like Anna Griffin, Amy Tsuruta, Kitty Carlisle, and more. Also smile when I'm talking to #1 (and only, lol) son or hugging hubby or playing in my Craft Studio. Thank you for thinking of and appreciating your followers even with your horrendous schedule.

Christine, you are doing what you need to do--everyone understands, and we look forward to seeing more of you when you can. Until then, you are doing what God has asked of you, nothing can be more important. You are amazing as always, what a talented and beautiful sister in Christ!

Ahh!! Christine, been there too, when there are not enough hours in the day to sit and make cards to send to family and friends. Often, this is what gets put on the shelf for a while. My dear husband was on a 2+ week vacation along with my 5 grandkids on Spring Brake, and I really couldn't do much crafting, we went out a lot with the kids and just relax at home.
This past Monday everybody was back on a normal schedule and I jumped at the chance to participate on the Power Poppy Pop of Pastel challenge, I truly enjoy making this pretty card.
Thank you for the chance to win this awesome magazine, specially because your gorgeous card was published in it.
Have a wonderful day.

Sorry to hear you are so rushed here lately, may God give you strength to get all your commitments done and still have time for refreshing of your mind and spirit. Your card is just adorable and I love that cloud border idea. My daughter and son in law will be visiting soon, that is making me very happy, seeing them only a couple times a year makes our get togethers very special and makes me smile

Life interfers with living sometimes. What helps is knowing that we can go into our craft space at any free moment and even 5 minutes of play time puts us back on track. Congratulations on being published - your creations always make me smile.

What a sweet card. I love how interactive it is. Congratulations on another card in CardMaker. Spring finally seems to be on the way here in Wpg and the weather is truly warming up. That is making me smile today. It's supposed to be beautiful for the bday party my hubby is throwing for me tomorrow (it's a special one;) ) so we may be able to use the gazebo for the first time this year.......another reason to smile;)
