Doll Face

For my The Cat’s Pajamas Post scroll down or click here.

Ok, hands up, who remembers the Barbie Beauty Centre?  You know the one with a Barbie head and shoulders where you can style her hair and do her makeup?  This fabulous new image from A Day for Daisies totally reminds me of it!  Isn’t she gorgeous?  All of the new designs this week are reminiscent of 1950’s Barbie faces (which was a little before my time :) but oh, so classy!  Here’s the link to Doll Face Five...on sale today too!

I had so much fun colouring her,  I hope it shows.  I’m so happy with how it turned out.  She’s part of the new Doll Face Prints Kit (amazing).  I don’t get to colour people much and I have to say, this was such a treat!

After colouring I put her on an embossed background (peacock feathers embossing folder) with some damask paper overtop, and a sentiment from Power Poppy (Sassy Succulents).  Along the bottom I added a strip of Scor Tape with Glitter burnished in.  It’s a little touch of glam.

I gave her a jeweled necklace because it just seemed perfect for her, so glamorous!

Here’s the Copics I used.  I’ll list what was for what because they’re all in a pile

Skin:  E0000, E00, E50, E95
Eyes and Makeup:  G40, G43, G46, G99, 100
Cheeks:  R00, R01, R02,
Lips:  R12, R14, E95
Hair:  Y21, Y23, YR23, E31, E33, E35

Just for fun - here’s the Barbie Beauty Center that I had circa 1970’s.  I thought it was so fabulous!

Now enter the ADFD Team showing off more beautiful Doll Faces today...

She's so beautiful, Christine! Some of these girls remind me of the '50's Barbies. And I DO remember them!

Absolutely stunning Christine. The colouring is totally perfect and the layout so good right down to the little glitter strip. I would love to have your talent.
