January New Release - Wild Roses

With Valentine’s Day almost upon us we couldn’t miss out on giving you another amazing botanical set for the season, Wild Roses.  This stunning set features a wild rose and a theme of "love" - perfect to tell those you cherish just how you feel - all year long! This set, illustrated by Sam Pickard with sentiments provided by Dina Kowal, measures 4" by 6" and offers three main images, three sentiments and a sentiment background stamp.

I really love how this card came together.  The contrast in colours really appeals to me!  I began with the smaller rose elements from the Wild Roses set and stamped it onto Flourishes Classic White with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colouring them up with  Copic Markers in rich yellows and lime green shades from our Collections, then I trimmed them all out.

On the background layer I inked up the 1 Corinthians 13 words (LOVE) in Memento Taken with Teal and stamped all over a Spellbinder’s Circle die.  Then I matted with Color Made Easy - Emerald Coast cardstock cut with Flourishes Perfectly Pierced Classic Window Die.  Then I layered the flowers in an arrangement I liked on top.

All this is on our Color Made Easy Sunflower card stock with Soft Yellow Seambinding, Baker’s Twine with a button and some simple Enamel Dots.  I love that it’s bold and rich and cheerful and meaningful with the Scripture!

Today you’ll see some beauties from our Senior Design Team with this love-themed set, and while you’re enjoying their designs don’t forget to look for our:
