New Release - Numbers in Blossom

Hello Flourishes friends!  Welcome to our December Sneak Peeks!  Once again we’re proud to bring you our New Release Sneak Peeks, they have a wonderful theme of “blossoming".   Today’s set joins a gorgeous family of sets and many of you have been looking for it to complete the collection.  Introducing….

NumbersInBlossomGraphic

Part of the special Flourishes Blossoms Collection, numbers never looked so pretty! This 4 by 6" set features hand-drawn numerals by Marcella Hawley that have been embellished with beautiful florals. This set offers a one-of-a-kind way to create gorgeous correspondence, birthday or anniversary items, or even home decor. Set is the perfect companion to sister sets Happily Ever After, Letters in Blossom and Summer Blossoms. Blossoming inspiration is yours along the way today with our talented design team and this set.

I completely love our Blossom Collection of stamps, and we often said all we needed to complete the set was Numbers in Blossom!  I’m delighted its finally here!  I also love doing non-seasonal cards sometimes :)  Here you have a card to celebrate the 4th of July!  Instead of Christmas in July, its summer in December!  I stamped the pretty number 4  in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Flourishes Classic White Cardstock, and then coloured the pretty design with the Dahlia Collection, Olive Green Collection and the Blue Jean Collection of markers.  I love how the sentiments in the set like the postscripts and sentiments can be interchanged for different occasions.  I curved the “Happy” sentiment just a wee bit to go around the edge of the circle.

Next I did some fun playing with ink and one of our new Tim Holtz stencils, this one is the Stripes one and Ranger Distress Ink in Barn Door, sponging stripes to mimic the feel of the American Flag.  Then I added some designer paper from Echo Park Reflections to mimic the stars and cut in a curvy design.  I framed out the main image with our Perfectly Pierced Classic Window Die on Color Made Easy True Blue Cardstock.

I ruchhed some ribbon on a strip of adhesive and added the polka-dot ribbon on top as well as a scattering of sequins and pearls, to give it that “fireworks” feel of celebration.

Now while you’re hopping with the rest of the team, don’t forget to try to figure out….

What a novel way to use the stripes layering stencil! I never would have thought of that. I love the way you made the blossom numbers so patriotic!
