New Release - Always Blooming

It’s Day Two of our delightful December Releases at Flourishes!  Today we have another stunner for you that combines beautiful botanicals with very meaningful sentiments.  Introducing….

AlwaysBloomingGFX

Send some strength to those you care about with this touching set penned by Sam Pickard and embellished with beautiful sentiments courtesy of Dina Kowal. It's a set that's perfect for those times when a friend needs to know that you care. It features five scripted sentiments with heart warming messages as well as a group of beautifully drawn winter roses. Set measures 4" by 6". Ideas are blooming plentifully in our design team creations with this gorgeous set.

I will always love a great floral set - but I think it’s the sentiments in this set that just win you over.  You’ll see some really meaningful words of encouragement and support in the creations with this set.  Always Blooming is a real beauty!

I wanted to go an entirely different direction with this design and colour the winter roses more like a poster rather than the realistic colour you might find on them.  I found some older MME - Bramble Rose designer paper with these great corals and greys and that was my colour palette.  I stamped with Memento  Tuxedo Black onto Flourishes Classic White card stock, then cut it out with this beautiful Spellbinders Die, Opulant Ovals to cut it out.  I coloured up the design with my Copics and used a combination of Cool Grey Neutrals and Warm Grey Neutrals to colour the leaves, it matched the tone of the paper better.  The petals are done with a mix of Sweet Pea and Dahlia Collections.  The cardstock is also from our Color Made Easy Collection using Tonal Neutrals and Terra Cotta Collections.  Braided Trim and Enamel dots are the accents.

Isn’t that an awesome sentiment?  I think it makes the card, and would be such an encouragment to the recipient.

While you’re hopping and looking at our DT creations, don’t forget to try to figure out….

Gorgeous card. I love your color palette, your pretty patterned papers work beautifully. Amazing coloring on the flowers, and a sweet sentiment to finish it off.

I love this card. The way you have coloured the flowers is fantastic. Such an amazing technic almost like watercolour with copics. Love all the white. I'm such a shocker at loosing all my highlights when colouring.
