Bring the Sunshine - Chrysanthemums

ChrysanthamumGraphic

We are so excited to be back with a new round of beautiful stamps for you this August! Today's stamp set is a new offering from illustrator Sam Pickard and it showcases the unique blooms of the Chrysanthemum flower that is a staple for fall color and bouquets. This 4 x 6 set contains several arrangements of single or grouped flowers, a buzzing bee, plus wonderful sentiments around a sunshine theme. It's sure to bring wonderful cheerfulness to your designs on those crisp Autumn days that are coming. And for even more creative options, we'll have a cut-file available for this set as well.

I really took the sunshine theme to heart and created this really vibrant sunny card.

So, made a dappled sunlight background for these pretty mums to match my MME - Sky's the Limit designer paper.  I stamped the flowers on Flourishes Classic Ivory card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink as well as the little bee.  Then I coloured everything with Copics including the pointillism background.  When I added the sentiment tag it was a bit too cream, so I thought it would be fun to create a sunset effect on the tag with gradiated copic colouring.

A few enamel dots for accent as well as some pretty seam binding finish it all up.   I really like the idea of "Bring Your Own Sunshine" too.  That's something you and I can do every day!

We want to show of some more of our Chrysanthemum creations to you today and there's a chance for you to win today's set! All you have to do is find:

Hi Christine - what a cheerful, colorful card! I love the point method, used it back in the 70s with a pencil for art class. Yours bring life and texture to the focal image! Sweet embellies top it off ♥
