Peaceful Orchids

I thought a card that exemplifies peace would be a good choice for today in our world.  I pray that today peace can begin in you and me.

This beautiful little scene is part of the new set from Flourishes called Garden Dreams.  I think the thoughtfullness and dreaming that is demonstrated in each part of the set is so lovely.  Orchids are a favourite of my mom's too, so they always remind me of her.

I began by cutting the shape for this set with the Silhouette cut file from Flourishes on Classic Ivory Cardstock, and then stamping with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I coloured up the image with Copics and then popped it up on a pretty layering of Flourishes Color Made Easy Rich Browns Cardstock and Color Made Easy Crocus Cardstock.  The purple designer paper is Echo Park Winter Wishes, cut with the Edgeabilities Classic Petals dies (on sale!)  The embossing layer is done with the Fireflies Embossing folder (so pretty).

Finished off with some pretty velvet and lace.

Here is the inside of the card....

I stamped off the orchid image before stamping it on the cardstock, so it would have a softer watermark feel.
