Lift My Head

Thought I'd pull out a little Verve for this week's Mojo Sketch.  And look!  Barely any colouring! Only that tiny little bit on the sun.

This is a beautiful Psalm.  I love any reference in the Bible about God lifting my head.  I think that is such a beautiful picture.  What do we do when we're discouraged?  We look down.  We tuck in, we think we're all alone.  He lifts our heads up to look at Him.  Such an encouragement.

Have you been into Michael's lately?  They've started selling older My Mind's Eye packs of papers, at least in Canada.  Now they're at a ridiculous $10 a pack, but I love MME papers.  This is a set called Moments, and the blues and yellows are so fresh together.

Here's the Mojo sketch, which I followed pretty consistently.

And here's another look at the detail on this new Spellbinders Die...so pretty.  It's called Exquisite Circles.  It gives that feeling of sunshine as well with the debossed lines.  The sets are Psalm 3:3 Plain Jane, and New Mercies for the sunshine and the soft blue accents on the main image.

I'm going to send this to my husband's Dad.  He fell the other day, down a whole flight of stairs, on his back, head first.  He doesn't remember how it happened, but we believe he lost his balance.  He broke a vertabrae in his back and is in a hip to neck body cast in the hospital.  It could have been so much worse, but this won't be easy on recovery either.  He's 79 and has already had many mini-strokes so he's not at 100% to start with, and all the kids are away, us being one of the farthest at 1200 km away.  But, today he was up walking for the first time...so we're hopeful and trusting for the rest of the recovery as well.  And, I'm trusting that God will lift Dad's head to him too.

Have a good day wherever it finds you friends.  Praying that today your head will be lifted too!

A lovely card, you are right those blues and yellow in this set are so beautiful together. Will say a prayer for your FIL, that is a scary accident and certainly a difficult recovery. This Psalm is perfect, like the sun is peeking out behind it and you want to lift your face to the warmth of His love.
