Snow Fun

October...a wonderful month to bring in some new and gorgeous sets at Flourishes!  We have a full and exciting week ahead with 5 new sets we're showing off for you!  Today's set called Snow Day is such a beautifully illustrated set by Marcy.  It really showcases some great things to do that make winter much more bearable and fun :)

I played with this beautiful pair of skates hanging on a hanger and some Prismacolors on Kraft paper, stamping with Memento Tuxedo Black.  I gave the scene some swirly white to give the feeling of the snow blowing around.  I've used some new Spellbinders to frame out the image, outlining in Flourishes Classic White paper, adding a snowflake and Kaiser white pearls for accents.  You can see a bit of the snowflake embossing I added inking the embossing with Kraft White ink.  The designer paper is Authentique Celebrate, and I stamped the lovely decorative sweater line stamp from the set with Memento Teal Zeal ink onto the teal strip of dp.  I love the pom pom chenille ribbon  - I thought it looked "cozy" especially paired with some narrow red velvet.

Fun Details for Release Week!

Hidden amoung the Design Team today is a Mystery Blogger...and a commenter on her blog will win today's set!  We don't know who it is...so be sure to comment on all the blogs for your chance to win!

Love this card Christine! Love the chenille pom poms, the sweater trim stamp and your colouring is amazing. I can picture myself as a child coming in from the cold and hanging up my skates. You can almost smell the hot chocolate.

I LOVE the scribblies for snow, and for highlighting the skates against the Kraft... gracious, just that main panel would make a gorgeous card in and of itself.
