Fresh Baked

Oh I just LOVE today's Flourishes set Fresh Baked!  It's so signature Marcella Hawley...beautifully illustrated with a touch of whimsy.  Today the Design Team has partnered up with the Timeless Tuesday Team to create  a card or project with a treat as a focal image, and this set is perfect!  Take a look...

Isn't that just the most lovely image?  I love how scrumptious that pie looks.  All of the images in this set really have that cozy "in the kitchen" feel, with some sweet sentiments too.

I really wanted to give it that fresh feel so I stamped the image on Flourishes Classic Ivory Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black, then colored it up with Copic Markers, pairing it with some pretty paper Little Darling from Graphic 45 that's actually a baby paper, but you'd never know it from the sides of the pages I'm using, it is perfect with the country theme.  I've also used our new Color Made Easy Pistachio Papers for the card as well as Seam Binding from the Color Made Easy Line.  Works so nicely together!

Of course I HAD to make it a cherry pie.  Nothing as pretty as a lattice top on a cherry pie!  As you can see I paper pieced the tea towel from the image with the background paper to tie it in nicely.  Plus the stripes work well for a tea towel too.  Accenting with Candi and Adhesive, some pretty gingham elastic ribbon and the sentiment die cut with our pretty Tailor Made Classic Tags and some twine.
