Old Fashioned Correspondence

I remember being in College and Seminary and writing letters.  Like actual handwriting too.  It was the way I kept up with my friends that were away.  I would stalk the mailbox too, looking for a letter from a friend, and loved it when I moved to the US for Seminary and mail also came on Saturdays too :)  We seem to have lost the art of handwritten letters these days haven't we?  Everything is Facebook, email or Skype to connect.  And though I do love the instant part of that, a lovely letter is a treasure I won't forget.

Here is a card I made a while ago for a magazine submission that was rejected, so now I get to share it with you.  It combines that old art of correspondance and some beautiful cheerful flowers in a lovely scene.  It's with Flourishes' From the Desk of Set, and Tag Lines for the Sentiment, colored with Copic Markers in some cheerful yellows, and then framed out with the Postage Stamp Nestabilities dies, using the reverse side of the die scrap for the sentiment.  Simple details withe some satin ribbon, polka dot ribbon and ivory crochet ribbon all from Flourishes as well and some tiny rhinestones.   The little touch of designer paper is from Kaiser Hunt and Gather.
