Motherly Love Pre-Release Challenge

We've arrived at the April Pre-Release Challenge at Flourishes with New Release Sneak Peeks beginning next week... this Challenge we're unveiling today is called Motherly Love, and it's theme is timely and easy to do:  Make a card for your mom or a mom in your life!

I paired the beautiful Lenten Rose set with the Motherly Love Sentiment Set that can make any image into a Mother's Day card.  I used the new pack of Bo Bunny Serenity Collection DP for my color palette.  This card is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches.

Coloring is done with Copics and I used a ton of them to get the right match for that rusty red in the paper (see list below). I've added some pretty ivory lace trim from the store as well as these cool rustic Graphic 45 Brads.  I've edged the paper with some Spellbinders Classic Bracket Edgeabilities and framed out the image with a Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Squares die.

So, join us in the Challenge this week, and you could win the whole April New Releases!  I look forward to showing them to you next week because there's a little something for everyone.   Link your creation on today's post on the FLLC Blog. and when you upload using online galleries use the code FLLCAPR12.    An FYI too...Flourishes will be closed for customer service needs starting Friday through Sunday. Any orders or emails will be responded to first thing Monday morning so that our Flourishes family can enjoy the Easter holiday.

Check out the Design Team Today and their gorgeous Motherly Love Creations:

On a personal note:  Thanks for the many of you who've left comments saying you're praying for my family after the events last week.  My dad is finally out of ICU and improving from the pneumonia and heart attack. He's in an Internal Medicine bed at the hospital as they reaccess his heart and the medications and protocol he should be on now,  but it looks like he could be home very soon (actually amazingly he was sent home Thursday night!).  My mom is getting stronger from her pneumonia, but she's pretty worn out emotionally.  And my husband and I have found some of the germs from either them or the hospital and are struggling with colds/respiratory stuff.  No pneumonia, but not fun, so we're kind of limping along :) .  But, despite everything we're really grateful to be able to come into Easter and say again how blessed we are for the life God gives us.  He is the hope I hold onto!

Copics: Leaves: Flourishes Evergreen Collection, YG25, Vase:  BG11, BG53, BG70, Flowers and Shadows:  Rich Browns Collection, E08, E97, R27, R32, R35, W00

Christine, I am in awe of the depth and dimension of your Lenten Roses!! I really am in just stunned awe! Your realistic table shading is Fabulously Perfect! You Must teach me that some time :)

I know exactly what you mean by having one of "Those" phone calls. I have been through 4 in the last 5 years... Sadly, everyone went home to be with Jesus.
But my heart is overjoyed that even though your Dads situation started out scary, God has blessed him and your family, and he is recovering :) I'll keep him and your family in my prayers :)

Have a blessed Easter/Passover :)

Oh, Christine, my heart ached for you when I read your story about your Dad. I'm glad to hear he's out of immediate danger now, and I hope you all will be okay. You've made such a beautiful card. Stunning coloring on the flowers, and lovely papers and colors to back them up. A little touch of fun in the papers, too. Very pretty.

Sorry to hear there've been some complications for your family's health, Christine. I pray that you all will be feeling better soon.

I love how you did the out-of-the-box technique on these roses, and framed it with the fleur-de-lis die. Beautiful!
