Under the Weather

Well, we have been completely SOCKED in with rain in our neck of the woods (which is why I'm hoping it's nice and warm in Chicago where I am right now!).  I heard someone say that we've had rain 32 out of the last 42 days.  Most of us would like a little more summer...and a little less wet!  So, I thought I'd do something to cheer me up :)  I've been seeing a lot of hand stitching and twine on creations lately so I've done a focus on the TSG Blog today showing how I created this card.

First off, it's this month's SFYTT Sketch :)

I started with my stamped image from the adorable set Under the Weather, and then added some pierced holes that were the size I wanted my stitches to be.

The twine stitching adds a sweet home-spun detail, and I tied it into the buttons as well.  I colored up these cuties with Copic Markers (Y13, Y15, Y17, BG0000, BG73, BG13, YR04).

Aren't they cute?  Enough to cheer anyone up!
