Bee My Honey Sweet Honeycomb :)

Welcome to July NEW Release Sneak Peeks at Flourishes!  We have two gorgeous sets to show you from Flourishes today, they can be paired together, because they go PERFECTLY, or used separately.   Illustrated by Marcella Hawley, this first set features three main images plus little bees which serve as accents along with five fun-filled sentiments. We can’t tell you how “sweet” each of these drawings are!  I have two pretties to show you with these sets.

I've used the very beautiful Bee Skep from this set Bee My Honey, with all the pretty florals that Marcy drew (isn't it a wonderful scene?) and colored them up with my copics to match this beautiful Sweet Threads paper from Basic Grey.  Oy it has gorgeous patterns and colors!   I took that theme of Sweet Threads and did some sewing, almost like a homey quilt on different sections of the inside panel.

I wanted the sky to look a little whimsical and muted so I started with some swirly designs with my Copic Marker and then added in some pointillism.  The accents are some lovely roses from the store, the Arco Iris Collection, and Rose Floret and then a very pretty Satin Finish Cotton Baby Pink ribbon.

And I don't often decorate the inside of the card, but today I did to complete the sentiment... ignore my fingers in there :)  You can see more of the sewing detail in this picture too.

Now for the next card and set....something a little warmer, that uses this wonderful Honeycomb background set .  It is a gorgeously watercolored honeycomb background artistically drawn by Marcella Hawley has been put on polymer to add a beautiful accent to your stamped creations!

This warm and cozy card is made with both new sets, using the honey container from Bee My Honey and the beautiful Honeycomb background.  A few years ago I made a card very much this style with a honey styled set, so I thought I'd try and use a similar design but freshen it up a little :)

The honey pot is colored with watercolor pencils and reinkers to give it lots of warmth, and then you can see I stamped the bees on the Riding Hood Red layer and the very fun honeycomb stamp on the More Mustard color, and the I sponged everything heavily.  I thought the Octagon Nestabilities went really well with the honey comb theme - even though honeycombs are actually hexagons :) .

Then I added a Sizzlet heart to match the heart on the honey lid, as well as the sentiment on the Grommet Tags, and some pretty Satin Finish Cotton Ribbon in Brown.  Isn't that Honeycomb background gorgeous?  I love how Marcy drew it so that some are full of honey and some not.

Now I know the rest of the team will WOW you with these sets.
