Pretty Please with a Cherry on Top

How about a very sweet and cool card for a sunshiney day?  We have a new challenge this week at TSG and Theresa is our hostess and she has a fun sketch for us.

So I decided to play with the new TSG set Freeze the Moment.  It is just so CUTE!  And I had fun playing with the sketch and this set together.

I had so much fun playing with all the ice cream elements in this set...there's so many cute parts.  I colored up the main image with Copic markers and then added some Crystal Effects to the little cherry on the ice cream.  Then on the triangle panel I stamped and colored all the ice creams and then ran it through the square lattice embossing folder to give it texture just like an ice cream cone.  So fun!

Now for me if it's going to be ice cream...it better be chocolate, but I thought I throw in some strawberry and vanilla on this card too.  All the cherries on the card have Crystal Effects on them for some shine, and I added some fun nail heads in red to go with the cherry theme.

On the home front.....here's some of what we've been up to this past weekend  - a graduation, three ball hockey games, and a piano recital plus a busy day at Church on Sunday!  Our eldest had her Graduation Celebration from Grade 9.  A friend of ours who is a hair stylist did her hair which turned out SO beautiful...like a piece of art.    Sorry for the shadows on this next pic....she's under the maple tree :)

She looked so pretty and I know she felt pretty too....here she is with her Dad...

and then after grad we took her out to a restaurant for appetizers and dessert, and really had the best time together.   You can tell it's late at night because I'm looking pretty tired here!! :)

A lovely night for all of us to celebrate and a very busy but great family weekend.

Now...we invite you to join us on the TSG Sketch Challenge this week, details are here at the TSG Blog.  If you participate and win you get TSG Store $!  Woo Hoo!
