Good Time Friends

Hello Everyone!  Well, we've just finished Spring Break over here, and we had a great week actually (outside of a little bout with the stomach flu with a couple of the kids).  We went to our space and science building and saw the the Narnia Exhibit.  It was fantastic for anyone who loves the C.S. Lewis series or the movies.  Lots of costumes, and props from the movie sets etc.    We also found our daughter's grade nine grad dress (she looks so pretty in it!) and then went Saturday night to the Steven Curtis Chapman concert.  It was really fantastic, he is my all time favourite Christian artist.  If you know anything about him and their family, they have 6 kids, the youngest three being little girls they adopted from China, and three years ago their youngest adopted daughter was killed in a tragic accident at their home.  To hear the difficult journey they have been on, to see him be so honest and authentic about his faith, and for him to still be able to sing his songs with his whole heart was such a testimony.  I had read his wife's book earlier this year about their experience, but then to have our whole family see his concert was really powerful for our family.....sorry a little blabby there!   All that to say, it was a good week :)

Anyway...back to stamping...

It's another challenge over at There She Goes this week, and I loved it!  This week's challenge is brought to you by our Trendsetter of the week, Ann.  She wants us to create a card without any angles...only circles and/or ovals!  Remember that your card base must also be round or oval.

I had so much fun with this one today.  My friend Dawn had created an oval easel card a few weeks ago that I thought was fantastic, so I had to give it a try for this challenge.

Aren't they DARLING???  I used the very sweet Good Times set from TSG, and masked and stamped these two bunnies together as if the smaller bunny was putting his arm around his taller sister maybe?  Rather than holding the watch that is actually in the set.  Their outfits are colored with copics, and the pockets are cut out of designer paper and popped up, with a little shading added with Copics.

Here's a side shot of the easel part of the card.

I love the celery silk bow on top, it almost makes it look like an Easter Bonnet :)

And above is the inside of the card....now I'm just wondering if those straight inside lines mean I cheated on the challenge :(  Well...word to the wise then...don't do that when you make a card for the challenge!  LOL!

So join us!  You could be eligible for the weekly give away, which means gift certificates to the TSG Store!  And you could be in the Trendsetting Spotlight on the TSG Blog each Thursday.    Use the keyword TSG101 when you upload to online galleries and link to the TSG Blog.

More details on the There She Goes Blog.

This is adorable. Love the springy feeling and the bunnies are so sweet. Glad your spring break was good and the exhibit sounds awesome. We just saw the Star Wars one earlier this week in Seattle. I wonder if we will get the Narnia one, that would be awesome! Glad everyone is feeling better.
