Love Notes

Oh you're going to love this little set!  It combines all that's sweet about love and music, musical instruments, sweet sentiments and puns.

I call this one Electric Love.  :)  I had a dream about a really really green card with a pop of pink, so here it is!

Couldn't get much brighter could it!?  I thought it suited the very fun electric guitar to have some electric green for the card.  Besides,  I just love green and it makes me happy.  The guitar is stamped on European Watercolor paper and then colored with my Derwent watercolor pencils, cut out and popped up.

The paper is some fun old Basic Grey which right now I can't find to name for you!  But I've sewed on the pleated ribbon, and the sections of squares - but my bottom thread on my sewing machine thread was a bit tight...so it's not as pretty as I'd like.   Then I added some fancy piercing, with some rhinestones colored the deep pink with a Copic Marker.

I got the perfect match for the paper when I sponged the sentiment with Memento Bamboo Leaves and Pear Tart ink.

Now for something completely different....I was going for a more vintage, Musical Renaissance sort of look with this one with lots of layers, textures and pattern.

Such a pretty violin don't you think?  I know a number of violinists and so appreciate their gift !

The paper is Capella from Basic Grey with some deep Early Espresso and Vanilla.  I've used the Spellbinders Lattice Pendant Die for the Vanilla accents behind the violin and the top row, as well as some pretty pleated satin ribbon and a Webster's Pages Vintage Sparkler and some pearls as accent.  I colored up the violin with my Prismacolor pencils and sponged the back with Blush Blossom ink with a little Espresso.

Isn't the bow across the strings pretty?  It's like the music is coming right out of the page...

Well, you'll see MUCH MORE wonderful with this great set if you head over to the rest of the Design Team's blogs...

Wow, each of these seem to be polar opposites, not only in color but theme as well....love the cards and the distinctiveness of each!! They are terrific; the guitar card really pops and rocks, and the violin card is rather elegant! This is a must have set for sure....
