A Book is a Gift

How about a little There She Goes Fun again this week?  We've got a great sketch for you to play with designed by the fabulous Holly!

I think one of the best gifts that you could give me, or our kids is a good book.  We love to read....and I'm so grateful that the kids have picked up this beloved past-time as well.  They are all avid readers, and are constantly talking to one another about the great books they are reading, and books are always on the Christmas wish list.  So, I love these parts of the set Believe in You, because it really celebrates reading too.  Both of these kids are separate stamps in the set, but they worked well together on this panel in the sketch.  I've colored them up with Copics that match this fun Cosmo Cricket school themed paper, called The Boyfriend.    The kids will be sending it to their cousins as a thank-you for some books they received as gifts from them.

Do you see how perfectly the ribbon matches the paper?  I colored some ivory taffeta ribbon with my BG75 Copic Marker before tying it into a bow.  I also faked my threaded buttons by using a Sharpie to draw in the black lines.

So, jump in on the sketch with us!  If you play you can win $$$ for the TSG store, and how fun would that be!

Here's the deets:    To be eligible for the giveaway at TSG, you are to create a card that uses the sketch provided then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the Mr. Linky that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (Nov. 22). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!

Absolutely adorable, Christine! I wish my two kids liked to read. It's a battle here. So frustrating since I love a good book.

Absolutely BRILLIANT to use the sharpies to color on the buttons. I'm definitely going to do that! What a time and bulk saver. I wish I'd remember to color ribbon instead of spending time looking for the perfect color. I know you can do it, just never remember.
