And to All a Good Night!

Happy May Day Everyone!  I hope that you are enjoying some sunshine wherever you are.  But, I have something for you today that has everything to do with icy cools not warm sunshine.  :)

Today begins Flourishes Christmas Challenges at the SCS Forum, it's designed to help you get a jump on your Christmas card creations (doesn't that always seem daunting in December?)  Every year I say, I want to have my Christmas cards out Dec 1....never happens.  Maybe this will be my year!

Stacy Morgan is going to be our hostess and this time she's challenged us to use a  fantabulous sketch.

And here's my icy cool Merry Christmas to All...

The card measures 5 1/2 x 5 1/2.  I used this gorgeous wreath from the Seasonal Wreaths sets (a very good all year round set), and colored the Christmas balls with Copic Markers (Robins Egg, Sky, Water, Azure and Holly and Meadow Collections from the Flourishes store).  I also added the background set Holly, stamped in Bermuda Bay ink.  Because I don't really have acrylic blocks that are quite large enough for this background, I used my cool new tool too from Flourishes the Compact Stamp Press, it worked so well and I got a perfect impression.  It's designed to create scenes in one stamping impression, but it works great for big stamps too.

The papers are Memory Box Spearmint, and I added some real and faux stitching.  For the faux stitching you can see I used my glitter pen to link up the stitches and it adds a really nice touch.

Here you can see a little of the glitter stitches, and the rhinestones I added into the wreath too.

So, to play, just use this sketch to create a Christmas card using Flourishes stamps. When you wrap it up with a bow, just link up to the challenge thread on SCS and you'll be in the running to win a Flourishes Christmas stamp set of your choice! Just think, you'll get a jump start on your Christmas creations AND have a chance at winning stamps to make even more Christmas cards! Oh what fun it is!! Please use the Keyword FLLCNOEL1 if you upload to Splitcoast. You have until May 30th to submit your cards and Flourishes will announce the winner with next month's challenge!

We hope you play!

Just to remind you too, today is Our Daily Bread Designs New Release Day for May....you'll want to check out the Design Team's wonderful creations starting at the ODBD Blog
