Sentimental Sneak Peeks Day Three!

Are you like me in that you're always looking for that sentiment that's JUST RIGHT for a special card? A saying that conveys your heart behind a creation, or the situation someone is in, or the connection you have with them?

Today's samples are full of really wonderful sentiments from this brand new Flourishes set that will be released tonight.

I have two cards to show you today....one using yesterday's Ornamental Elements and this beautiful sentiment set, and the other with just the sentiment set (oh and a few sweet peas :) - but both with beautiful papers. Have a look-see!

Embossed Faith

I received some new Memory Box papers from Flourishes, and they have such interesting patterns in them, some almost futuristic, but a number of the papers with one of my favourite colors - a beautiful lime green with dramatic BLACK. So here I paired those papers with some pretty Prism cardstock, and black embossing of the Ornamental Elements. The sentiment is only a part of the original stamp...that I embossed, trimmed out and popped up. The icing on the cake is the gorgeous Flourishes black satin ribbon. Oh it ties so nicely.

Doesn't the embossing look so rich on this shot?

Simple Things

This second card went in a much softer direction... I love this sentiment and how it naturally highlights certain words. So I stamped these capitalized LIFE, BELIEVE, ACHIEVE again on Bordering Blue and Pink Pirouette with Pallette ink (grey) and popped them up. The sentiments are on a nestie layer,. I added the stamped sweet peas along the borders of the sentiment which really looks nice I think. These gorgeous papers are a mix of SU Bella Rose, and Bella Birds, and some beautiful Flourishes velvet and dotted organdy ribbon.

I decided to accent the card with pretty rhinestones on the ribbon slider and on the card. Do you notice the very diagonal feel to the design? Some of that comes naturally because of the sentiment...but then I emphasized it even more with the accent elements. It also naturally draws your eye to the different parts of the card as well.

Today all the other Design Team Girls will be showing a fabulous new line of paper in the Flourishes Store...none other than Jenni Bowlin! I'd love to show you them too....but mine didn't arrive on time :( sniff sniff....but be sure to check out the other girls to catch some wonderful sneak peeks! Join us tonight for the Release party...it's a whole lot of fun! Games, chatter, give aways, prizes, more pictures of cards from the Design Team and all the sets are revealed!

Christine, both are beauties...but holy moly girl I love the one using the Jenni Bowlin papers, it has a soft vintage feel to it, so ultra feminine
