Getting Sentimental

As we get ready for the March release at Flourishes, we are "getting sentimental!" Want to join us? Your challenge this month is to use a sentiment or phrase at the main focal point for your card. Use Flourishes stamps if you have them, or if you don't, play anyway! The winner of the random drawing will win all three of our new sets being released next week! Click on the Flourishes Newsletter to see all the Design Team creations and to find out the official details.

Here's what I created for the challenge

There's just something about black and white together that is so striking and elegant. I gave the sentiment from the gorgeous I Love Roses set center stage on this card. It's cut out with a Tag Sizzlit and embossed. I've embossed the Roses on the other layers with Irridescent Ice Embossing Powder on the cardstock vellum layer and the black layer (doesn't it give it classy shimmer?), and then used very elegant Flourishes Satin Ribbon and some of the flowers from my Pretties Kit.

Here's the Fabulous Flourishes DT Girls links to check out their great creations today:
Recipe: Stamps: Flourishes I Love Roses; Ink: VersaMark; Paper: Basic Black Whisper White, Cardstock Vellum; Accessories: Big Shot, Tags Sizzix, Flourishes Ivory and Black Satin Ribbon, Pretties Kit, Irridescent Ice Embossing Powder, Dimensionals, Eyelet Border Punch, Ticket Corner Punch
