Passionate Rose

I'm still away, but I have something beautiful for you today.

Today begins a new round of challenges for you (meaning the potential of free stamps!) and some great things with the Friends of Flourishes Blog Team....so you'll definitely want to check out the Flourishes Newsletter today for details.

So, to celebrate the Blog Team starting something new, I pulled out my beautiful rose. I read that orange roses symbolize passion :) I love the depth of color and the warmth.

I have this GREAT new paper by K & Company called Que Sera Sera that is full of rich warm colors and patterns. So I gave these roses some real deep color. I added a light wash of coral around the rose to give it more of a glow and blend with the pink stripe in the paper. I also cut around the rose on the top right to really bring more attention to it.

I used my brand new eyelet punch from SU (oooh its so perrrrrty), and some gorgeous Flourishes Ivory Satin ribbon and some 1/2 pearls from the Pretties Kit.
Come back tomorrow for something SU!
Recipe: Stamps: Flourishes - I Love Roses; Ink: Black Stazon, Tangerine Tango; Paper: Tangerine Tango, Whisper White, K & Co Que Sera Sera, Watercolor; Accessories: Reinkers, SW Markers, Eyelet PUnch, Ivory Satin Ribbon, Slit Punch, 1/2 Pearls, Glue Dots, Dimensionals.
