Toonie Tuesday - Gina K!

As promised yesterday, I inked up my new set from Gina K, A Year of Flowers. It's always fun to do something new, and I'm a newbie to Gina K stamps. This set has TONS of flowers from poinsettia to spring and summer flowers, all beautifully illustrated by the talented Melanie Muenchinger.

Lotus Blooms

For this card I used the lotus looking stamp and gave it a water scene. I watercolored the flowers on watercolor paper and then cut them out. I cut a Top Note with my Big Shot and then masked and brayered the sky with Baja Breeze and then then water with Baja, Pacific Point and Kiwi Kiss, then added white gel pen highight. I also went back and sponged some Baja in the sky too. I've seen Ms. Amy pickletree do some great things with layering the Top Note so I thought I'd try it.

Bouquet With Love

The 200th Color Challenge! Can you believe it? Of course Emily gives us a doozie! :) Brilliant Blue, Garden Green and Pumpkin Pie. Actually...I don't reach out for Brilliant Blue often, but paired right, it really is pretty. Here I stamped a bouquet of flowers also using masking with the lily stamp and the pretty petal stamp, stems and leaves. Watercolor with SW Markers and a out of the box design. I also created the "background paper" by stamping the leaves, and a ladybug from the set all over the garden green, sponging and then coming back and stamping Linen background on it too. I was going for a crisp clean design here.

Ok...off to do some errands!
